Tips for Coloring PAW Patrol Coloring Sheets
The Dalmatian Dilemma
Marshall is a nightmare for toddlers to color. They just grab a red marker and obliterate the poor dog. I used to watch my preschoolers do this and cringe internally.
You have to teach them the dot method first. Show them how to just hit his black spots and leave the white fur completely alone. It saves ink and actually looks like the character on TV.
Layering the Lookout Sky
A lot of our pages have big wide open skies. Do not let your kid just scrub a single blue crayon across the top. It looks flat and frankly a little sad.
Have them start with a light blue and then rub a tissue over it to blend. Then they can come back in with a darker blue right at the very top edge. It is like finger painting but without the horrific cleanup.
The Metallic Vehicle Trick
Every single pup has a vehicle with tons of metal parts. Gray crayons are boring and silver markers always dry out in three days. This is a known fact of parenting.
Try using a regular pencil for the metal bits. Just a standard number two pencil shades beautifully and gives it that gritty mechanical look. Plus they already have one sitting at the bottom of their backpack.
Managing Mighty Pups Glow

Tell them to draw tiny little vertical lines for the grass instead of coloring side to side. It takes them way longer to finish the page. Which honestly is the entire point of giving them a coloring sheet anyway right.
