Mr Krabs Coloring Pages (Free Printable PDFs)

Honestly money is the only thing that gets my kids moving in the morning these days. It is like living with three tiny little crustacean businessmen who charge me to clean their own rooms.

This bizarre phase is exactly why we decided to illustrate these Mr Krabs coloring pages for the site. We needed something completely greedy and fun to match their current chaotic energy.

Getting them to sit still is basically a competitive sport. I just drop a stack of these printables on the kitchen table and suddenly the house is dead quiet.

Just scroll down and click the thumbnails to open your free Mr Krabs coloring pages. Let them color away while you go hide in the pantry for five minutes.

Your kids will also love: SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Squidward, Sandy Cheeks.

Mr Krabs Coloring Page Highlights

Digging Deep for Treasure

He is out on the sand aggressively digging a massive hole with a standard shovel. A classic wooden treasure chest is sitting right there half buried in the dirt. It perfectly captures his absolute obsession with finding free stuff.

The little starfish and shells on the sand add some nice texture to the scene. My son always uses a metallic crayon for the metal bands on the chest. It is a really solid Mr Krabs coloring sheet for practicing sand textures.

Doing an Awkward Crab Dance

Sometimes you just have to do a weird stiff dance when you make a profit. He has both claws thrown high up in the air looking ridiculously happy. The team drew these funny little action lines around his thick legs.

There are tons of sea sponges and coral pieces growing behind him. Kids usually go completely wild coloring those background elements neon pink or bright green. This is one of the printable Mr Krabs coloring pages that feels genuinely joyful.

Dragging a Massive Heavy Safe

He literally tied a thick rope around himself to pull a giant metal safe. The safe has a massive dollar sign right on the front door. You can see the heavy strain on his face as he leans forward.

There are some wooden barrels sitting on the plank floor behind him. Getting the grey shading right on that huge metal box takes serious dedication. We made sure to include lots of free Mr Krabs coloring pages that show his ridiculous greed.

Dressed as a King on a Throne

The illustrators really went all out on the arrogant details for this specific drawing. He is wearing a heavy royal robe and a crown while holding a royal scepter. Bags of money and loose coins are just piled everywhere around his stone throne.

The stone walls in the background look like a medieval castle underwater. Coloring all those individual gold coins takes a lot of patience from little hands. It is definitely one of the most detailed Mr Krabs coloring pages for kids we offer.

Happily Walking His Pet Worm

Even cheap bosses need a pet to walk around the neighborhood. He is holding a leash attached to his weird little pet worm on a dirt path. You can clearly see Spongebob’s pineapple house in the background.

Squidward’s tiki head house is sitting right next door looking totally annoyed. My middle daughter loves coloring the houses more than the actual characters sometimes. This specific Mr Krabs coloring sheet always gets printed twice in our house.

Jumping Completely Out of a Shell

He is literally bursting out of a giant open clam shell like a weird pearl. His eyes are wide open and his claws are snapping mid-air. The team added lots of wavy seaweed in the background to frame it.

Coloring the inside of the giant shell a pale pink looks really cool against his red shell. Some kids just scribble black inside but the pink makes it pop. This is a super fun option if you need simple printable Mr Krabs coloring pages .

Leaping Happily with Falling Coins

This is basically his ultimate fantasy playing out in real life. Coins are raining down from the sky while he jumps with a huge open smile. The iconic Krusty Krab restaurant is sitting way back there on the horizon.

The little bubbles floating up mix perfectly with the falling money. You really need a good yellow marker that will not dry out halfway through. Finding great Mr Krabs coloring pages for kids with the restaurant in the back is oddly hard.

Looking Exhausted at the Cash Register

Working the register all day destroys your soul eventually. He is slumped over the wooden boat counter looking completely drained and miserable. There are literal tied sacks of cash sitting right next to him.

The background shows the empty wooden tables and barrels inside the restaurant. I used to teach middle school so I recognize that blank stare perfectly. It is a very relatable vibe for tired parents printing these out.

Tips for Coloring Mr Krabs Coloring Sheets

1. Getting the Red Shell Right

His main body is obviously red but you cannot just use a flat primary red crayon. It makes him look like a cheap fire truck instead of a living crab. I tell my kids to mix a little bit of dark orange in there.

It warms up the color and makes it look much more like an actual cartoon shell. Sometimes they even use a tiny bit of brown in the shaded areas. Layering colors is honestly the best way to make these pages look halfway decent.

2. The Annoying Blue Shirt

He always wears this incredibly pale blue shirt tucked into his pants. If you press too hard with a normal blue marker it ruins the entire outfit. You have to find a really soft sky blue or baby blue pencil.

I usually suggest lightly shading it rather than pressing down hard. Or rather just building up the layers slowly so you don’t tear the paper. If the shirt is too dark he just looks like a totally different character.

3. Don’t Ignore the Belt

People always forget to color his thick black belt properly. They just sort of scribble over it while trying to finish his pants. But the belt really breaks up the drawing and adds some needed structure.

Make sure to use a solid black for the leather part of the belt. Then find a bright yellow or gold for the giant square buckle in the front. It is a tiny detail but it honestly makes the whole picture look finished.

4. Coloring the Money Correctly

The guy is constantly surrounded by massive piles of cash and loose coins. Coloring every single coin solid yellow gets really boring after about 11 or 12 minutes. My son figured out that using a mix of gold and yellow looks way better.

For the paper money try using a super light green instead of a dark forest green. If you use dark green you completely lose all the little drawn details on the bills. And what follows from this? A messy blob instead of a pile of cash.

5. Handling the Background Sand

Most of these scenes take place on the sandy ocean floor of Bikini Bottom. Kids tend to just grab a yellow crayon and violently cover the entire bottom half. That looks okay but it might cause some inconvenience if you want the characters to stand out.

Tell them to use a light tan or a very pale brown instead of bright yellow. Add little darker brown dots for texture if they are feeling artistic today. It keeps the focus on the main character instead of a blinding yellow floor.

6. Making the Eyes Pop

His eyes are basically just huge white stalks sticking straight up out of his head. It is tempting to just leave them the blank white color of the printer paper. But adding a tiny bit of light blue around the edges really helps.

It gives the eyeballs some roundness so they don’t look totally flat. Just a very faint shadow line makes a surprisingly big difference. Will they actually listen to this advice? Probably not but today it works.

7. The Krusty Krab Wood Details

Whenever he is inside the restaurant there is a ton of wood grain to color. The counter is made of an old boat and the walls are wooden planks . . . finding three different shades of brown is usually the hardest part here.

Use your darkest brown for the cracks and the drawn wood grain lines. Then fill in the rest with a medium or light tan color. It takes time but it makes the restaurant look exactly like the cartoon show.

8. Shading the Heavy Metal Objects

He is always dragging around heavy metal safes or playing with anchors. Getting a metallic look with basic kids crayons is frankly kind of impossible. But you can fake it by pressing really hard on the edges.

Leave the very center of the safe a lighter grey to look like a shiny reflection. It is an old art teacher trick I used to show my seventh graders. They usually ignored me but maybe your kids will actually try it.
