You know what happens when kids get tired of coloring the good guys? They demand the villains. My kids spend more time talking about the bad guys than the actual heroes lately.
It was getting ridiculous trying to hunt down decent Dr Eggman coloring pages that weren’t blurry messes. So we just made our own batch of free Eggman coloring pages here at Little Colorables.

Honestly it’s weirdly therapeutic to color a guy with a mustache that big. I think the sheer absurdity of his outfits makes for a great art project.
Grab the red and yellow crayons before your kids completely destroy them. You are definitely going to need the sharpest ones for all those crazy mechanical gears.
Your kids will also love:Â Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles, Tails, Amy Rose, Silver, Blaze, Rouge.
Eggman Coloring Page Highlights
Painting a Self-Portrait
Dr. Eggman painting a self-portrait on an easel. He even has a little beret on his head. I guess even evil geniuses need a creative outlet sometimes.
The canvas has a funny sketch of his face. My oldest thought the paint cans on the floor were a great excuse to use neon colors. It is a solid Eggman coloring sheet for kids who like messy art.
Playing Basketball and Dunking
This one makes absolutely no sense physically but I love it. He is mid-air dunking a basketball. The guy is surprisingly athletic for his shape.
You get to color his oversized sneakers and the net. The background is an outdoor court which gives a nice break from his usual metallic lairs. Finding printable Eggman coloring pages like this usually causes fights over who gets to color it first in my house.
Playing the Violin
Eggman playing the violin surprisingly well while sitting on a stool. He looks so focused reading the sheet music on the stand. Maybe he’s playing a villainous theme song . . .
There is a nice window and bookshelf behind him. It adds a weirdly sophisticated vibe to the whole room. This batch of Dr Eggman coloring pages is perfect for testing out different wood tones on the violin and furniture.
Plotting a Scheme at a Desk
Here he is at his desk plotting some new ridiculous scheme. He is pointing at a piece of paper surrounded by giant gears and blueprints. There is even a little robot model on the shelf.
This is where your kids can get really technical with their coloring. They have to figure out how to make the blueprints look like actual plans. These Eggman coloring pages for kids are brilliant for practicing fine motor skills on those tiny desk details.
Singing Karaoke in the Shower
Okay this one is just hilarious. Eggman is in the shower wearing a shower cap and singing into a back brush like a microphone. He is really hitting those high notes.
You’ve got bubbles everywhere and a little rubber ducky sitting on the soap dish. It is a really goofy Eggman coloring sheet that always makes my youngest giggle.
Sitting in his Eggmobile
Classic Eggman cruising in his Eggmobile. He is flying through the sky with those iconic rings floating in the background. It feels like a direct screenshot from the old games.
The ship itself has all these curves and panels. You definitely need to dig out the metallic crayons for the hull. It’s one of the best free Eggman coloring pages for reliving the boss battles.
Smiling with his Glasses Glinting
A giant close-up of his face with that huge toothy grin. His signature glasses have a big starburst glint on them. He looks entirely too pleased with himself.
The background has some abstract checkered hills and gears. It is very geometric and chaotic. Handing out printable Eggman coloring pages with this much personality is exactly why we started making our own.
Standing on the Egg Carrier Ship
He is standing proudly on top of a massive flying ship. It looks like the Egg Carrier from the adventure era. The clouds are rolling by underneath.
There is a lot of empty space in the sky for creative shading. The ship has a control tower and propellers that need careful coloring. Giving out Eggman coloring pages for kids like this is great for quiet afternoons when they need a bigger project.
Tips for Coloring Eggman Coloring Sheets
1. The Mustache Needs Respect
You cannot just hastily color that giant mustache with a regular brown crayon. It is literally his most defining feature. I always tell my kids to layer a little black over a dark orange to give it that bristly texture. It makes the facial hair look almost three-dimensional.
Sometimes my six-year-old completely ignores me and colors it neon green. And what follows from this? Honestly nothing bad because it’s their art. But if they want it to look accurate they need to blend those warm brown tones carefully.
2. Mastering the Red Jacket
That red jacket is basically his uniform. But a flat cherry red across the whole thing looks a bit cheap. Try using a deep crimson for the shadows under his arms and near the buttons. It adds some actual weight to the fabric.
Then use a brighter red right in the center of his chest where the light hits. It is a simple trick I used to teach in my classroom. It turns a flat drawing into something that pops off the page. I probably spent around 43 minutes yesterday just testing red crayons.
3. The Metallic Greys
Half of his world is made of cold steel. You are going to be coloring a lot of robots and ships. Don’t just settle for one dull grey crayon for everything. You have to mix it up.
Mix a tiny bit of blue into the grey to make it look like shiny chrome. Or add a smudge of brown for rusty older machines. Will this work for every single gear? No idea. But today it definitely makes the metal look heavier and more real.
4. The Glasses Glint
His glasses are supposed to be dark but reflective. Usually they are a deep blue or black. But the trick is leaving that little star or stripe of pure white completely blank. It gives the illusion of glass.
It is, let’s say, not the easiest thing for a toddler to manage. Or rather they just color right over the lines entirely. If they do just take a white gel pen at the end and add the shine back in. It completely changes the expression on his face.
5. Skin Tones and Shadows
He has a very pale almost sickly complexion in most versions. Using a heavy peach crayon makes him look too healthy. You want to press very lightly with a beige or sand color. This keeps him looking appropriately villainous.
Leave the tip of his ridiculous pink nose bright red or deep pink. It gives him that slightly unhinged angry look – a small detail but it really anchors his whole vibe. Just a little color right on the end.
6. Background Contrasts
Eggman is almost entirely red, black, and yellow. If you color the background with those same warm colors he just blends right in. You need to push him forward using cool colors behind him. Think about how a red apple pops against a green tablecloth.
A sharp blue sky or a deep purple metallic wall works perfectly. This creates contrast. It forces his red jacket to stand out dramatically against the paper. All this color theory comes down to one thing… don’t let him get lost in the background.
