Little Colorables is a library of high-quality, printable coloring pages designed for kids, parents, and teachers. But we are a little different than the other sites you might have stumbled across. We don’t just dump thousands of random images online. We treat every coloring page like a lesson plan: it has to be engaging, it has to be high-quality, and it has to be fun.
How it Started: The “Rainy Tuesday” Incident
Little Colorables was born out of frustration on a rainy Tuesday afternoon in 2024.
I’m Caitlin, a former elementary school teacher and a mom (read more about me on our Team page). That afternoon, my kids were bored, the rain was pouring, and we had burned through every craft supply in the house. I went online to find some simple coloring pages of their favorite characters.
It was a disaster.
I spent 45 minutes clicking through spammy websites, dodging pop-up ads, and downloading files that looked okay on the screen but printed out pixelated and blurry. When I finally handed the papers to my kids, the lines were too thin for their crayons, and the characters looked… “off.”
I realized that if I, a teacher with infinite patience, was frustrated, other parents must be losing their minds.
I decided to build the resource I wished I had: a safe, clean, easy-to-use library where every single page prints perfectly. No fuzziness, no weird distorted faces, just clean lines and happy kids.

How We Create Our Pages (The Secret Sauce)
We take a unique approach to building our library because we want to offer you thousands of options without ever sacrificing the quality your child deserves.
1. The Human Blueprint
Our “Pillar” designs and key character poses always begin as hand-drawn sketches by our team of artists. We obsess over the details, getting the expression right, ensuring the outfit is accurate, and making sure the composition is balanced.
2. Inspiration & Variation
We know that sometimes your child doesn’t just want a dragon, they want a dragon eating a taco in space. To provide this endless variety, we use AI as a brainstorming partner to generate creative themes, supplementary scenes, and fun variations that we might never have thought of otherwise.
3. Hand-Drawn Execution
Once the perfect concept is sparked, our human artists manually redraw every single coloring page from scratch.
By using AI only for initial ‘pose inspiration’, we can offer a vast, creative library while ensuring every line, stroke, and detail is 100% human-made. You get the benefit of rapid conceptualization backed by the unmistakable quality and ‘soul’ of traditional illustration.
